FROM THE PTA PRESIDENT:
Dear Cody Families:
Welcome to a new and exciting school year at Cody Elementary! Whether you are a returning or new student or a new or returning faculty/staff member, we would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone who will be a part of our Cody Family this year. We encourage you to become involved in the Cody community this school year. Please take the first step by joining the Cody Elementary PTA. This a very easy way in which parents can stay connected to the school and the education of their children and make a statement that you support the mission and activities of our organization. Last year was a very successful year for our fundraisers, including our Fall Frolic Carnival, Cash for Cody, Fall and Spring Book Fairs and Spring Walk-a-Thon. The PTA has utilized its fundraising efforts to sponsor several activities and purchases, including: Smart boards, Nooks for the reading, office and classroom supplies, laptop computers, books for the library and classrooms, games for indoor recesses, staff appreciation, visiting artists and authors, the Cody Calypso school dance, Mornings for Moms, Donuts for Dads, Grandparent’s Day, babysitting during conferences and PTA meetings. Again, we invite you to join us as we work together to enhance our children’s educational experiences. Parental involvement is essential as we coordinate our fundraisers and activities. If you are interested in becoming a member of our PTA please feel free to contact any of the board members who are listed in on this website. Also, our website is a great tool for information regarding both the school and the PTA.
